I’ve had 2 or 3 customers have his PB high day mode settings (with brightness at 4) when I get there. Severe black crush along with somewhat less noticeable but still bad white crush. Gamma started out at something like 2.6 and ended under 2. In a day mode, the last thing you want to do is crush black… The ambient light does that for you. In addition, if the blacks float just a bit (I haven’t seen much of this), it’s not noticeable in high ambient light conditions. I can’t believe he’s advocating this.
