If you stated accurately what you meant to say in post#1, yes to your first question. I’m assuming that you maintain the correct viewing environment conditions for color correction. Gamma is partly dependent upon viewing environment conditions. Reference gamma must be understood to be used in reference viewing environment conditions. In theory, the resolution of the monitor shouldn’t matter when discussing proper gamma.
