I don’t know how much this will help you, but I just did an HC7800.
I was able to interface with it using ControlCal V1_50, but that really did not prove to be any benefit; in fact, I ended up abandoning that and just using the user menu.
CC didn’t open up any new modes. I ended up calibrating a user mode.
CR was poor, only 1200:1 or so, and blue was undersaturated. It had a multipoint WB control at odd intervals and a CMS. Interestingly, it had no horizontal lens shift.
