Calculating viewing height of screen

My 80 ” Vizio client wants to mount the display on the wall and asked me for my recommendation.

I had to do some math so I thought I would post it here too.

First…his viewing distance is 102″ and I recommend a 15% elevation from eye level to screen center.

So I used this calculator: http://cossincalc.com/

I had to input 15 % 90 % and 102 “

The calculation shows that the center of the display should be at 27.33 inches above eye level.
