Hi all. I’ve got a calibration on an HD81 to do soon. Believe it or not the client has had his HD81 in it’s box for the last few years and didn’t get around to installing it!

Anyway, I’ve calibrated HD80s before, but not an HD81. I believe that they have ISF modes and a CMS? Is that right? If so anyone got the code for the ISF mode? Also, any tips re. the CMS? From what I can see it’s only got a saturation and hue control available.

    Thanks

    hi
I do not think the HD80 or the 81 have ISF modes.
All controls should be available in the user menus.

Two additional memory slots for the ISF modes. But if you just use the three that are open. You still have your calibrated projector. The ISF modes are memory slots and do not add any additional functionality to the mix. Afraid of resetting the settings? Then put the settings into all three memory slots … and take a phone camera out and snap all the pictures you need of the settings.

Ok. Thanks guys. I’ve since found that the HD81 manual mentions the ISF modes and how to get into them. However, I wasn’t aware that they didn’t add any functionality. It looks like the HD81, in contrast to the HD80, has a rudimentary CMS (saturation and hue). Is that correct? If so does it work ok?

Does any 12 point system really work right? Get the fundamentals done and then play with it to see what it does. Likely the saturation is a mix of that and brightness.

You can use the Optoma HD81 with the
lumagen radiance unit or dvdo iduo. just remeber that you will have all you video HDMI inputs outputs going though the lumagen or dvdo iduo unit to the projector. You will still need to just have the Optoma HD81 serial RS-232 port cable connected to the projector & Optoma HD81 imaging processor so the remote still works to turn on off the projector.
