    Greetings!

I was calibrating a Panasonic GT50, and noticed unusually snowy picture while watching pretty much anything..

I checked all inputs, and it was the same on all of them. Come to find out, when I lowered the Panel Brightness to low, the snow went away! I tried the Mid Panel Brightness setting, and some of the snow returned, but not as bad as on the High Setting. It’s very visible on a black screen, looks like multicolored sparkles.. On regular programming it kills the picture quality, my client was freaking out!

I calibrated on the Custom setting, haven’t tried THX modes yet, will be doing that soon.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there anything in the SM that will cure this?

    Thanks Much!!!

    Greetings

Another reason to do the calibration in THX mode first … and you can experiment with the custom mode after the fact. Nothing in the SM that is usable other than the grayscale controls. Extended engineering menus exist, but you have to work for panasonic to be able to see that.

    regards
