I found a problem with the Cal-Day and Cal-Night modes that may or may not be F8000 specific. In either mode, calibration must be done with either field or APL windows patterns. If windows patterns on black backgrounds are used there is some processing going on and pattern luminance is reduced. This does not occur in the Movie mode.
Also, black level is influenced by the backlight. I read a couple of reports listing .014 FtL as MLL. Turning down the backlight a few clicks maintained black at video 16 but lowered the MLL to .006.
