I have a client that is worried about his cat scratching his screen. He is thinking about buying a screen protector like this. He wants to know my opinion, but tbh in all my travels I’ve never even seen one. His main concern is heat build up behind the protector. What do you think?

Interesting. I’ve never seen one before, either. I doubt the heat build up would be anything to worry about.

hi Julian!!
Reminds me of the screen protectors that people used with the old crt RPTVs. (I built one for my self).
Not a bad idea, if he is concerned…on a soft screen surface (LCD), a cat could severely damage it…not so much with a glass screen.
Heat build up could be an issue with a plasma….perhaps having it 1-2 cm out from the screen to allow for air flow.

Thanks for your replies. It looks like the one he is thinking about is offset from the panel a little bit so he may be ok.
