The PVA is a standards-based organization focused on image fidelity. We publish practical methods, train and credential professionals, and provide vendor-neutral verification programs. Membership is open to qualified professionals and manufacturers who support these standards.

Education & Credentials
PVA offers professional training in video measurement, calibration, and imaging workflows—serving calibrators, post professionals, engineers, and manufacturer teams worldwide. Training is delivered by LionAV and remains vendor-neutral, grounded in repeatable methods and reporting practices. Participants who meet the program requirements (exam, hands-on proficiency, and submission of calibration or verification reports) may earn the PVA Certified Video Professional credential. Certified professionals may offer PVA Certified Video Calibrations and gain access to member-only benefits from participating PVA manufacturers.
Standards & Methods
PVA provides vendor-neutral professional services for manufacturers and organizations, including standards alignment, method development, workflow evaluation, and verification readiness. PVA also collaborates with industry bodies (including SMPTE, CEDIA, and others) to support consistent best practices and maintain current technical reference.
Verification
PVA verification is method-based and vendor-neutral. Products and workflows may be evaluated against published PVA Method Notes and documented measurement practices.
