Although this Topic is old I will chip in and answer it, in case someone Looks for it here again
From my experience, and others….JVC D-ILA Projectors do have a drop in Gamma…
But this is a process that usually slows down and stops by time. It is always possible to bring the unit back to normal by using the JVC autocal.
Ensure you wait Long enough after powering on the Projector.
Especially when you use the projector everyday it is not gonna be as severe as when you just use it time to time.
Also…the max contrast and gammut of the Projector is not gonna decrease (like the sonys…).
