hi Terry
The THX mode is quite easy. do the front panel controls in the user menu, then enter the service mode to do the gray scale. This is the cinema mode setting (warm 2). Remeasure out of the service mode to ensure they are the same.
You need Calman or ControlCal to access and label the ISF modes on the VT50. Keep in mind that it is just a relabelling of the Pro mode.
Hey Gregg,
So, I went into the service menu. warm/normal/cool. Cinema/Vivid/??. So, what’s the correlation to warm1/warm2. I confused is there are 5+ temps in the user menu, but only 3 in the service menu. So, can you help me understand what is mapping to what? I understand from above that Cinema/warm is THX, but is it warm1 or 2?
So, if I read between the lines on a number of posts here and elsewhere, it appears that once in the service menu I select Cinema and warm, then adjust the WB -sorry, it’s a first time issue.
Also, it seems I can exit with power off for all things I have tried except checking error codes/hours/pwr cycles. It required unplugging. Is this correct? Or, is there another way to exit when checking hours?
Thanks,
