“always try to use the original TV remote where possible. Things like Harmony remotes and other all in one remotes may not have all the buttons you need to press”
From the remote control:
* Press the “MENU” button.
* On Cable/Antenna menu, select “CABLE” .
* Select “Timer” menu and set sleep timer to 30 min.
* Select Ch. 124.
* Press and hold “VOL –” button on the TV (not on the remote)“CHK” appears in on top-left corner followed by 5 letter/numbers
(which are the cumulative hours in hex numbers)* Press the “POWER” button on the remote to bring up the service menu screen
* Cursor keys on remote move the cursor around
* Press “Action” button on front panel of TV (hold down) and press the “POWER” button on the TV to save changes and exit the service menu. Then shut off TV and turn back on for normal TV control. Note that the menus reset themselves so you have to go in and re-select all the proper settings like temp = warm and stuff.
