in all cases, you still have to profile it to make sure it works right. The calibration tables … don’t work very well on their own. As in sometimes they work okay and sometimes they are way off, but you won’t know unless you have a spectro to verify. And if you have a spectro … then you profile it and it works all the time.
I don’t know about a retail version of the disccus … sometimes there is a difference between OEM and retail … and of course there is support. Spectracal will be better positioned to help you with what you need done.
The disccus likely will not drift as much over time, better filters inside.
The c6 has been shown to be almost an exact match for the i1 pro or jeti or anything else it is profiled to. Sometimes some businesses need gear at a higher level simply to make clients feel better.
