Indeed! In addition to that, why are we suddenly only finding out about this from any source other than THX, Ltd.? Some of THX, Ltd.’s most avid supporters are those who have personally invested substantial sums of money and time toward representing and advancing the THX mission and reputation. This community should have been among the first to know this was coming to market, not someone outside of THX, Ltd. I heard it first from a poster at the Blu-ray.com forum, of all places!
I have been actively supportive of THX since becoming certified in June of 2002. This incident is not a good example of apt organizational adaptability. Loyalty, mutual respect, and gratitude are virtues in rare supply in today’s corporate environment. I’m not referring to Gregg and Michael, here. They have consistently demonstrated themselves exceptional leaders in the organization, and within the professional display calibrator community.
