Mark Haflich let it slip out. I’ve seen hints that something was going on. Anyone know anything about this? C’mon, fess up.

On a related note, I’ve put in around 70 hours in the last two weeks working with the Lumagen Mini and the new SpectraCal Studio software. As of this time, the software does not work properly so don’t waste your money – yet.

I’ve been working on the Calman beta making LUTs with the Lumagen Radiance. It was good, but inconsistent, especially with gamma, until yesterday when Lumagen released the public version of the Radiance FW. The results have been better than I imagined for only 125 color points, and grayscale and gamma are on the money. If your customers are will to pay the $1500 or so for a Radiance Mini 3D they’ll be thrilled with the picture after you create a LUT for them.
