When adjusting tint on colour bars to get cyan and magenta to be the same luminance level, should one use blue only mode or simply work with colour turned down to 0 (b&w)?

use blue only mode if doing by eye.

usually do not adjust tint as it is left over from analogue days (of hue / phase).
Much better to do any tint / hue adjustments in the CMS menus.

Thanks for sharing Gregg. I don’t normally adjust tint for the reasons you mentioned, but I had an issue with a client projector that had a lot of problems recently. It looked like it had a physical problem with the prism itself, couldn’t be fixed through calibration but got it closer to New York.
