    Hey guys,

Maybe some of you who have been calibrating for awhile remember this gem. It was the king back in the day. I recently fixed the focus (mechanically and electronically), cleaned the lenses, fixed convergence and geometry issues, and fixed the greyscale. After all that it actually looks really good for a 12 year old tv, I would even say impressive compared to some LCD’s today.

My question is if you all remember what type of cloth you would line the inside cabinet with in order to eliminate reflections and improve contrast? Any helpful hints and tips (and stories!) would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!

    -X

    hi X
Use 3M double sided foam tape, then use black felt to line. You can get this at any fabric store. Becareful that you get felt that will stick will to the 3M tape as not all types of felt will. Dont be afraid to use LOTS of the tape.
    Good luck!!
