    Michael,
    What is a good resource for purchasing demo dvd discs and are there any that you recommend?

    The THX Demo disc that was handed out in class is a good one. 🙂

    Even specific films like 5th element that many are intimately familiar with are good ones to try.

    Avoid films with overt coloring … like Matrix … or the X-men stuff.

    Did THX ever get a Blu-ray demo disc finalized? When we were in class, it was supposed to be “close” but wasn’t finished by the end of the class. Did it ever get “finished”? Are we still going to get a copy when it is available?

    I have watched the bluray version play all day. If you like watching trailers and short clips? The production team needs to make it stand out (WOW I am ready to watch a movie here)

    Some have speculated that a HD version might be available next year … but nothing beyond that.

    The one at the THX training site at CEDIA was an inhouse looping demo. More a looping demo/music video than a sneak preview of what might be on the next THX WOW type disc.
