    Hi Guys

Is anyone using this new generator? I am thinking about it.

    Regards

It’s not full triplet now, just R%G%B%…..

If it gets full triplet support, it would be a great option but the Accupel 5000 for a little more $ is a better choice today for that budget range IMO.

    They know what’s needed:

I was told that the unit is basically a DUO Pattern Generating engine with a 4K scaling chip inline….so any short comings of the DUO..like no triplet support..would be the same for this unit.
I personally think it was just rushed to market to try and fill the “4K” need…but is not fully functional yet.

I bought one but have yet to use it on a calibration job. Lack of 3d pattern support is a serious problem for me as 90% of my clients still want their 3d calibrated. So I’m still using my Accupel on a daily basis. Ken Nguyen told me: “If feasible we will incorporate your suggestions in future firmware”.

this is the same chip as in the DUO….it will not allow for 3D processing, only 3D pass through.
