    Hello,

One of the requirements to receive Acreditation “THX Certified Technician Video System” is to achieve 10 calibrations.
Do we have to pay 100$ for each calibration performed as described in Amendment Agreement No. 1 or is it only valid if the customer wants a THX certificate.

    Thank you!

    Gérald

hi Gerald. We covered this during class ? there is no charges or fees for the first 10, which will complete your certification. After that you are required to purchase a $25 plaque to give to your customer, with each calibration submitted via the thx.com web site. This is not applicable for post production staff and also for commercial calibrations (only professional calibration services provided to consumers). You need to submit 4 calibrations annually to maintain your certification (assuming you are also purchasing 4 plaques annually).

    Hi Gregg,

    Thank you for your answer.
I don’t remember everything during these three days, for it seems to me against having seen 600 slides and drank 10 liters of coffee :-).
    Very good memories 🙂

    Greetings

If you want to remember more of the material presented in the class, it is highly recommended that you consider the 7 hours of training videos that summarize the class material and more.

    Hello Michael,

    Nice to meet you!

I do my best to improve the environment of the THX calibration, the distance and time difference does not simplify the task.
My English is not perfect, which often ask me to interpret to reach the accuracy of the subject.

In any case I I don’t want THX team disrespect.

    See you soon!

    Regards,

    Greetings

No need to think about disrespecting …

Just making sure you know that there are resources available to you to help you along and make you better at what you want to do. The class is a great way to introduce ideas, but as you mentioned yourself, no amount of note taking and memory will recapture everything that is taught. The slides themselves are just a tool and the lecture part does not always reflect what is on the slide set. (That was the original intent … since it was supposed to force attendees to pay attention to the instructors.)

It is good that you don’t have to just rely on your memory …

    regards

Hi Michael, Where can I find the 7 hours of training videos you mentioned. Are they on your web site?
