front projector with a green problem sanyo Z3

Recently the owner of a bar showed me a problem with his Sanyo LCD projector model Z3. It had been cleaned at one point and it did not make much difference and the issue that is obvious is a green circle that is very faint over the image. In other words the image on the screen looks fine and superimposed over the image is this faint green eclips like circle that goes to each side and top and bottom.
Has any one seen this or know what is causing it? And can it be fixed?

anything can be fixed … even buying a new replacement is a fix. 🙂

polarizer plate failure. The blue plate is wearing out. it is the nature or LCD devices that use organic based colors.

Plate replacement is about $130 a plate plus labor … at least that is what panasonic charges.
