It is not necessarily recommended.

It is just that this is the default resolution, and it offers an opportunity to test the display’s HD deinterlacing if you are inclined.

Gregg,
I think this is a site wide problem. I just tried to d/l a pdf and zip file from the dvdo thread and I get a blank page just as I do with this chromapure pdf.
