Is anyone using this with the Calman 4.5 without issues? I recently got myself a Jeti 1201.

Calman recognizes it as Orb SP100 with a different serial number. However, I cannot take readings in Calman. I have asked in the Calman forum, but am wondering if anyone else is having any issues.

When I initialize the meter, there is a small box showing 0.0Hz, even after initialization, but there is no error returned and there is box remaings at 0.0Hz. I cannot change anything in the box at all.

If I disable LowLightHandler, I get a Error6 : Dark Reading Failed read when I try to take a reading (even at 100% white on a plasma). If I choose LLH and set exposure time to AutoLow, AutoFast, Auto same error. . If I set the LLH on and exposure to 2s, I get readings but they are way off.

    Anyone seen this?

The annoying thing is that the meter works fine using the included Jeti Limes software and Chromapure.

I have a 1211. I have different problems than you do with it and CalMAN, and I couldn’t use it at all with the latest CM 4.6 beta and latest Jeti FW. I had to roll back the FW and reinstall CM 4.5.
Yes, it usually won’t read the sync, but on about a third of the displays I calibrate it will. If it doesn’t read the sync, I click on the 0.0 sync reading, change it to whatever I need it to be, and then press enter on the keyboard. Don’t click the initialize button after that, just exit out.
Sometimes I wonder just how much testing Spectracal does with this high end gear.

    Greetings

For some consolation in misery … the Jeti with 1.50 FW is funny on the CP program too on some displays.

I will roll back my jeti FW to 1.42 … when I knew it worked right.

    Thanks Chad

Thanks Chad. I did try entering a number in the box but it would not allow anything like that. I received a note from Spectracal that the 1201 does not need to sync but it is. I believe the current 4.6 beta will not work. They did say that they will try to update a new beta and get back to me for now. Spectracal noted that the firmware on the 1201 was newer and they did not have a 1201 anymore, so they would try to work with me on getting it fixed. But I do realize that the 1211 is also having issues now.

Hope I can get a resolution before I do more jobs, but at least this justifies the need to have more than one calibration software as a backup. Chromapure works for now with the 1201 and if the issue does not get resolved by then I can still use the 1201. I always wondered if I would ever need 2 softwares, I guess I do.

Quick update. The latest beta of Calman 4.6 Build 347 fixes the errors I saw previously on the Jeti 1201 firmware version 1.84. Readings are working fine. There is no sync option on the 1201 and for LLH there are options Auto (single), Auto (3 AVG), Auto (5 AVG), 1sec and 2 sec. All return readings. In case anyone else uses the 1201 and Calman. Chromapure worked all along.
