I was wondering if anyone knows if there is new (updated) software to calibrate these 2012 projectors and, if so, where to get it. I see it mentioned on the JVC site (although I’m not exactly sure what they’re referring to) and I looked around a bit, but can’t seem to find anything except firmware updates.

    Thanks!

I got two of these coming up in the next few weeks too. I just assumed the ISF, THX communication programs would work on the new RS45 etc too. I noticed today that the gamma would not take on a X9 unless I used the remote after the THX mode was enabled.

The previous units … the 50 and 60 did not work with the interface correctly. Or shall I say the interface worked but the range in the projector was too limited so as to make the usefulness of the interface a problem. A firmware fix was promised, but I have no idea about the status of that. Best to assume that there might be issues with the thx interface …

The ISF interface will be the calman DDC … and again you might hit range limits in the projector ….

The 45 is not THX so the THX interface would not work on it.

    regards

    Thanks for the info, Michael.

Edit: Chad B. posted on the SpectraCal Forum that he tried the CalMAN DDC interface with an RS45 and it was a no-go. I’m waiting for a response from someone at SpectraCal to see what plans they have for including/testing this in CalMAN.

Is there a interface from JVC for the RS35?
