Hi all,
I’m having a bit of an issue with Diamond Lamps. These are Philips clones of the original Philips lamps for the RS20/HD750. I just replaced an original lamp which had 1300 hours on it. I bought a Diamond Lamp replacement but it seemed no brighter than the older lamp. I took measurements and sure enough I was only getting just over 8fL with the aperture wide open on my 110″ 1.0 gain screen from shortest distance. The retailer helpfully sent a replacement bulb. In the meantime I cleaned my projector’s lamp window and measured the light output of my old bulb. This still kicks out just over 8fL. The new replacement bulb arrived and I’m getting just over 9fL from it. Would you say that this is acceptable performance because I don’t. Surely a new bulb in an HD750/RS20 from my distance should give me near enough 14fL or more? Can’t work this out. These Diamond Lamps are Philips bulbs and so were the originals. Any one got any ideas?
