    Hi everyone,

    I’m doing a Samsung 46B8000XF LED LCD next week.

    Which meter should I use?
    2009 i1 Pro or
    2010 Chroma 5 Enhanced

    Lately I’ve been using Calman profiles with the i1 as a reference and the C5 as a target.

    Any reason to not use this profile approach with a LED LCD?

    Hi guys,

    Thanks, I’ll only use the i1 Pro with LED LCD’s.

    Please give me some insight as to why the i1 is the best choice. I’d like to understand the background for your recommendation.

    Is there some reference I can read which discusses this?

    Spectro …

    c5 is a tri stim. Offsets are based on averages … clustered data points. There are TVs that are outliers too …

    The C5 will take you to where that average area is … but since it ain’t no spectro, it won’t know if things are askew …

    And always remember … what does doing faster have to do with anything? 🙂
