I have a client who is contemplating buying one of these sets. I have read over on AVS from a well known calibrator that these units can only be correctly calibrated with high end meters. As I have only an i1pro and C5 I am wondering if I should pass this job up.

Apparently even high end meters may have trouble too. enough so that an optical comparator is highly recommended to go with such an attempt …

Thanks Michael. The client is still in search mode for his display but he asked if I had ever done one before or would be able to do it.

Despite the accuracy “problem”, I get excellent eyeball results with the i1Pro and D3 profiled to it on both the A91 and this year’s A94.
