The Sony Bravia KDL-70R550a_ do not have white balance in menu. So I got into the factory menu by using

    display
    5
    volume +
    power

The only thing that show up is a blue menu labeled Service mode . But it have no submenu for white balance .

Do you know how to get into the white balance for this Sony Bravia KDL-70R550a_TV_.

    Hi Anthony!!
Sorry for the delay. I saw this while doing a police shift and thought you were asking about an older LCOS RPTV. (which this is NOT).
I have not had to enter a sony service menu for about 5 -6 years. All the controls that you will need will be in the user menus. There will be a color space selection, gamma presents, white balance control. (2 point).

I did link to your thread. It does seem that there is a service mode. There is nothing useful in there (or nothing that can not be adjusted via the user mode).

    gettr dun!

The user manual for this set does not have WB controls in the user mode.

Anthony, try the 1/4 3/6 CONTROLS … they might change pages in the SM … like the old days.

    regards

    wow, okay.

    also try / may need:

You also have to use the Jump command to get to one of 4? menu systems. Once at a menu system then use the 1-3 and 4 and 6 controls.

    dunno.

When all else fails, you have to get the service manual yourself. 🙁

I spoke with several people at Sony and on this model the company did not include any way to adjust the White Balance in the service menu or user menu. Thanks for all the help .
