Panasonic VT25/VT20 & GT25 "James Cameron’s Avatar Settings"

I found an interesting link on Panasonic’s website claiming they have the “James Cameron’s Preferred Settings” for Avatar on the VT25/VT20 & GT25.

I was wondering if any of you have downloaded & tried these settings on any of these panels? If so, how does it look?

Just curious. I think it’s a clever marketing gimmick from Panasonic but I may be wrong. :confused:

Gimmick … aside form copying settings doesn’t amount to much. Maybe it was what Cameron saw … and more than likely it wasn’t. 4% chance of winning. 96% chance of seeing something entirely different. 😀

The “Cameron” recommended settings are irrelevant. Proper calibration procedures will provide better results. However, the updated firmware version (3.5) does improve 3D color performance.

Lee, good point! I agree with you that proper calibration trumps all, but I must admit – I’m still curious what Panasonic’s settings actually look like! :rolleyes:
