Should the glass orientation be strictly 90° vis à vis the axis?
Compatibility with the anamorphic lens?

i would think 90 degrees would always be best.
no problem with an anamorphic lense

Mounting the glass perpendicular to the lens axis will (probably) result in the lowest chromatic and geometric aberation. Check with the installation documents that come from the glass manufacture to be sure. JBD
