    Hey guys.
I have a customer that is requesting a price on a Panasonic PT-AE2000U Projector. He said that he read some “great reviews” on it. Does anyone have any experience with this projector?
It is an LCD and I have never been fond of LCD projectors for home theater.

    Thanks,
    Clint

    Greetings

Grayscale is in the user menu … and there are a whole bunch of save options so you can store many configurations.

Uniformity is an issue on these projectors. Green and pink B/W images depending on the side of the image and the projector the person got. No fix …

CMS is interesting on this one … but the non-uniformity issue might negate any big improvement you arrive at.

    Regards

Although the PT-AE2000U reviews are quite positive, the unit has a flaw which prevents me from recommending it when asked. The inadequate seal around the optics and LCD panels can let dust particles in causing random ugly red, green, or blue tinted shadows, depending on what LCD panel is contaminated, on the projected image. I am not aware of a reliable work-around or fix for this problem from either Panasonic or users. This is a chronic problem in Nevada with our arid climate.
