Where does one purchase the remote control with service menu codes that were spoken of in class? At that time, you had hoped to have them available that Thursday, but apparently time wasn’t on your side.

all the codes are on this site (see the service menu area).

I have not had time to work on this idea further. The remote that I had programmed (and was using on the Samsung in class) lost a page of its programming. So this idea wont work unless i can get a remote that is web based or PC based where the calibrator can restore any lost data in a method that is close to real time.

I have a Harmony remote I don’t use because I don’t like the results you get downloading the codes for each component you own – and there are no downloads and little hope of getting any for some of the components I own. Will the codes for the Universal remote work the same in a Harmony remote?

The URC stuff is not compatible with the harmony as far as I know. It’s more like the pronto stuff, editing and creating pages …

About the only direct compatibility is to place the remotes head to head and teach the other one the codes … one at a time. Of course this works with every learning remote out there.

The codes are simply aimed for the MX980 because that is the device that I have and distributing a small file to people is easier than shipping and hand programming remotes.

With that said, if you want to pick up an MX 350 say … and send it to be … I will program the 4 or 5 devices into that unit.

    Regards
