I haven’t seen it yet but here is what the client is saying:

– Bright scenes generally look great but whenever there is a really dark scene there is an unbearable amount of noise in the image. Could this be a dynamic range issue?
– Skin looks “digitally smeared” more so on some sources then others. Their tech “played with the settings” and when he’d get a slight improvement with this on one source it would break another one.

Do you have any recommendations regarding a likely cause and/or solution so that I can go in a little more confident on this one. I don’t want to sit there for three hours calibrating and then have to say sorry it still looks like crap. But I also don’t want to turn down the opportunity for the experience and possibly more work.

This sounds like the black level isnt set correctly.
