    Good Afternoon,

I’m a new in this forum and THX calibration Knowledge.
    I have 2 questions.

    1rst questions

I started this morning to calibrate à Samsung LED 55F6780 and I follow the work flow.
My problem is I have more of 140% of blue on all the stimulus.

I try to adjust the gain and offset but, I must to push down to zero gain to obtain close of 100%.
THere’s a setting to decrease the blue.

All Settings and filter are off. Gamma +2

    2nd question:

When I setting the Contrast with the white plurge, I can see all the different “White rectangle” until 100% of setting, but around of 85% of the level of contrast, the white will change.
It will be not a nice white.

My question is: I keep to maximum of contrast until the one of rectangles disappears or I have to pay attention to the appearance of the white?

    Thank you for your help,

    Regards,

    Gérald

for question 1…..what white balance preset are you starting in? Put in Warm 2. When trying to get to NYC, start in New Jersey and not California.

question 2. If you see the color shifting, you are seeing R g or B clipping. On Samsung displays, always put the contrast at 85 to avoid this.

Thank you Gregg for your answer at my question 2! It’s very clear!!
About your answer 2, it’s more complicate!
NYC, New Jersey and not California. I hesite to go drink some whisky:p and to reread again to understand…or continue to drink!

Why select a mode Warm 2, if we must to disable all the filters, corrections or factory mode settings before to calibrate our device.

    Thank you for help!

He is trying to tell you to use the present option that is closest to where you want to go, in this case D65. Test all the color temperature option settings. Some are closer to D65 than others. In most cases, it will be something called warm 2 or just warm. Hence, if you want to go to New York, the trip is much easier if you start in New Jersey.
