I have a call for one of the new 80″ Sharps. Has anyone set up one yet? Is it the same access to the service menu as the older units like SE94?
    Thanks

Just be aware that the CMS system in there has a 50/50 chance of actually working right so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t. It has a tendency to show you a wonderful looking graph except people do not look right at all.

To add to Michael’s last statement… The measurements will suggest you should pull red tint towards magenta, but doing so makes people look way too purplish. In order to get natural fleshtones, I actually have to pull red tint a few clicks in the opposite direction toward yellow. The Red Value and Saturation adjustment do unexpected things, so be sure to have an image of a person up and paused, then play with the R Value and Sat adjustments to get a feel for how they act and what direction, if any, you want to go with them.

I like to shoot for a gamma of 2.35-2.4 on this set. Still gives excellent shadow detail and reduces/eliminates the tendency to look washed out.
