I tried the calibration tip for Sony LCDs, and while I can get into the service menu, I can’t seem to make adjustments and navigate to different options with the 1 -3 and 4-6 button presses. It looks like the tip was posted a while ago, is there any updated or additional info for new models?
    Thanks,
    John Sciacca

on newer models, use the user menu.

You also have to use the Jump command to get to one of 4? menu systems. Once at a menu system then use the 1-3 and 4 and 6 controls.

I’ve tried this on two separate Sony sets. My first problem is, there is a ton of red data that shows up in the middle of the screen that does not seem to go away, making it impossible to take a reading of the window pattern. Second, sometimes the proper adjustment will come up (GDRV, RCUT, etc.) but when I change off of it with 1 or 3, to scroll to the next thing, it goes away and doesn’t come back. I could send you some screen shots if it would help.

please take this discussion to a discussion area…not the service code data base area.

Threads in this area are listed alphabetically not by date. Discussion is this area is too easy to become lost / not answered.

    thanks
