    Hi guys,

I managed to upload the URC codes for service mode and tried to apply it to my Samsung LED TV (2011 D8000 model)
But, nothing happened and got the error saying ‘this mode is not supported in this input’. But other inputs also didn’t work.
Does this mean my TV is not supporting service mode? It’s made in Korea for Korean customers thus it’s not compatible with TVs for other regions?
Btw, another TV from LG worked fine when the LG service code button was pressed.

Very disappointing since I can’t activate cal-day/cal night node. Any insights for my issues?

    Thanks

I can’t speak for the URC code, but the Mute-182-power code should work. See below. I can only speak for U.S. models, though. The service code should be the same (Mute-182-Power is apparently Korean for “be quiet and work fast”), but the TV may or may not have Cal modes. Make sure your TV has the latest firmware.

When the TV is off, Press the following sequence: Mute-1-8-2-Power. The TV should turn on in the service mode. There should be a menu called “Expert”, which will have the “N/D Adjust” setting. Set it to “On” and cycle the power on the TV. The TV should have the Cal-Night/Day modes when you turn it back on.

Make adjustments to those modes as you want, then repeat the service process above to switch the setting to “fix”, which will lock those modes.

i’ve tried power-mute-1-8-2-power numerous times but never successful yet. It seems my TV doesn’t have cal mode.
    thanks!

I know what you mean. it’s a well known method for a long time.
the procedure is exactly what I’ve done before. I just wrote it like that.
It does not work with mine. 🙁

    FYI.
Recently Samsung R&D guys visited my home to discuss on the D8000’s washed out image at the left/right side of the panel. He explained that the mute 182 does not work with my TV. Instead, he brought Samsung service remote and he successfully activated service menu and displayed some full field patterns to test the screen uniformity.
I hope someone create Samsung’s new service menu codes for URC remote.
