Keymasterso most likely -2…what does +2 give you ?
ah, this is a digital signage unit that they are advertising as a HT PJ ? My first clue is that the lense is not centered on the body. It also has 3000 lumens of light output. Gamma of 2.0 may be all that you can do with it.
You could add an eeColor box and create a LUT for 2.2, or a Lumagen video processor.

KeymasterTom is telling me it has a very different engine to it.
Send him an email, he is very responsive.Gregg Loewen
Keymasterhi Nathan!
Get out of BT 1886 as a target.
Reset the Epson custom controls.
Select the highest Epson gamma preset (2.6 I think?)
I have not found the Epson individual controls to be useful.Gregg Loewen

As far as I am concerned, this version is still in Beta.Gregg Loewen

Keymasterhi Jonathan

KeymasterAlways calibrate directly from signal generator to the panel.
Then
Calibrate signal generator through AVR to panel.
Adjust the AVR to match the direct calibration.September 9, 2016 at 10:41 pm in reply to: Dimm Replacement Lamp – JVC X-Series – Do Lamps get brighter at the beginning? #3187Gregg Loewen
KeymasterI’ve never heard of a bulb getting brighter with age, though I have had a few students with this condition :-).

Keymasterhi V.
The Murideo is a great value.
You can also try your current TPG and add a HD Integrator box (this will add HDR).
Yes, the QD is the reference unit, but pricing starts at around $7500.
PS: we sell the Murideo and the QD.For meters: FYI, JETI has not been supporting the 1201 for video displays for more than 2 years.
I would not be worrying about more than 1000 nits for now, but need to consider in the future and or if doing pro grading on the Sony OLED or DV monitors.April 12, 2016 at 6:59 pm in reply to: JVC ISF Software for DLA-X70R, X90R, RS55, RS65, XC788R and XC988R #3183Gregg Loewen
KeymasterIve not used it.
It will only work with a Spyder4….
you can do some gamma correction etc….then I would use a manual program to correct S4 errors and further improve.Gregg Loewen
Keymasterhi Nyal!!

KeymasterHi Amir
ISF does not claim any type of Professional preset…ISF claims, when in the ISF mode, you will have the controls to properly calibrate the display.THX does have a professional preset. Depending on manufacturer, it varies in level of accuracy. In all cases better than any regular out of the box experience however not to par with a professional in home calibration.

KeymasterHere are my thoughts:
Does he have a BD player as a source in his HTPC? This could help trouble shoot a lot. What does this look like?
The HTPC and its video card is screwing up the image (most likely). HTPCs generally suck. The HTPC and video card may have suggested settings ??
