Keymasterdo the 2 point first, then turn on 10 point. Start at 100 and work done. Measure the entire run after you do an adjustment.

KeymasterGamma is actually measured from 100 down….so when the software starts at 0 or 10, it will reset / recalculate when it measures peak.
Gamma is not RBG cut and gain, it is inherent to the user mode or the gamma preset.

KeymasterHDMI sources should all match. Consider rgb / 422, HDMI limited vs extended, etc.

Always start at the display and work backwards by connecting the signal generator first. Then each device and have them match the signal generator.
All HDMI sources should match the signal generator (that are not generated by a PC).Gregg Loewen

Always set the contrast at 85 on a Samsung. Then adjust the backlight to hit 35 fL
Make sure the black level is set correctly
Each time you select a gamma preset, re check the black level.
Gamma may not be perfect on these smaller displays, which are not very consistant, just pick the best preset closest to 2.2 overall.Good stuff!!

KeymasterHi Louie,
you have 3 choices:Choice 1:
you can use the professional mode and all the controls are accessible. Kind of a pain though.
If you use controlcal it makes it much simplier to adjust.Choice 2:
Calman, if you already have purchased it?Choice 3:
ChromaPure Professional, and ControlCalGregg Loewen

KeymasterOther and easier options, try Calman or Controlcal for a laptop interface for the calibration controls.

Keymastergo into the user mode and select the THX mode, then hit reset. This will put you in color temp warm 2.
go into the service mode, 1 / 2 button to select the correct menus…then use the 9 button to cycle through the viewing modes. Select the cinema mode which is the equivalent to the THX mode / warm 2.
To exit out of the service mode, use the power off / on button on the remote control.

Think of the canvas as a light source that changes the brightness of the paint. As the canvas becomes brighter, the paint will be less saturated but of a higher luminance.
yes on IDing potential problems trying to measure 0 % stimulus. Upgrade your gear, or more realistically stick to gamma of 2.3 ish.
