The Yamaha does not pass the signal. It is a known issue.
Most Pioneer panels have problems with WTW.

    nothing special.
A treat to work on. Lots of good stuff.
It is DLP, there are raw and Destination RGB points for CCA adjustments.
    Have fun.
I will attach a copy of the manual.

the manual is 10 MB in size…if it does not upload / download…here is a direct link:

    awesome.
I would use the service menu to do the gray scale only.
Sim also has specific software for CMS adjustments. Ask them for the software too.

Not sure if this is a THX model or not. If so, tweek THX mode, if not, then work on the ISF modes and use the 12 pt to make improvements. Remember the rules…recheck gray scale and look at flesh tone content.

a 3d disc would work for you (but none available).

An alternative for 3D (if your display will not do conversion) is getting a DVD player that does do 2D-3D conversion.

    hi Michael
I do not know. the controls are not present in the user menu ?
Usually displays that are less than 28″ in size are not a part of the HT division of the company and are part of the computer division (and therefor very different animals).
i will ask Bruce from Toshiba to surf by for an opinion.

    hi Larry
you should be calibrating with 422 when you can.
Samsungs have rgb cms controls (not Color / tint / brightness). If a RGB is on its xy access but too dim or too bright, then add all 3 rgb controls to make brighter but keep in the same x y space.

I would not use the blue only mode for anything. I would set the color control based on red at 21% of white, however, I would set at the center position and then use the CMS controls on this display.

There is a 2 point / 10 point selection in the menu system.

let us know how it works out for you.

i would not trust based on the large delta E variance. Get the error down to 1 2 or 3, then check for stability / repeatablity.

Vince, coming to CEDIA? Bring it by the training room and we can test it for accuracy.

Panasonic should be able to correct the math for this, in 2011 it should be correct… but why isn’t it??! no answer needed, just venting

    Turbe, thanks for your endurance!!

THX Mode, like in other models of Pannys, is using a different color gamut.

    let me re state….

THX mode has correct color decoding, after the gray scale is tweeked.

Other modes will not have accurate color decoding no matter how you set the color control. (if not using the low panel brightness setting).

The inaccurate color decoding seems to be linked to the panel brightness setting (there are 3 presets). The low minimum preset will have accurate color decoding but your light output will be limited to around 25-28 fL. You will be able to get accurate color decoding in the THX mode and should be able to get about 35 fL.
